Rohn Strong
An up and coming knitwear designer Rohn Strong is well on
his way to rocking the knitting and fashion world with his unique and
avant-garde designs. From Pom-Pom's to Patchwork Sweaters his designs
ignited national acclaim. He first put fiber to finger at a young
age learning to crochet from a simple book he purchased. His ventures
moved to weaving and finally to knitting. After attending design classes
and becoming a certified Knitwear Designer he worked as an artist in
residence for a large non-profit organization. Designing garments for
runway shows and local galleries he began to receive notoriety. His
patterns and work have been featured in many blogs and online
publications such as The Rogue Crafter, Harrison Stone Photography, and Ravelry. His achievements include a Nation-wide World Water Day Knit Graffiti Yarn Bombing and a implementation of a county-school wide design curriculum.
His greatest joy however, has been passing on the ancient art of knit
and crochet to other artists wishing to brighten the world with their
unique creativity and individuality. Currently he is juggling many
projects including a new pattern book, a fall/winter 2012 exclusive
fashion line, as well as maintaining a successful fashion and design
blog.
